About the role
The Senior Fullstack Engineer will shape and deliver thoughtful tools across Spotify's planning and collaboration platform. The role spans product discovery, architecture, implementation, reliability, and mentoring.
What you'll be doing
- Build and evolve Groove across planning, collaboration, initiative tracking, and dependency management
- Work across React, TypeScript, Java, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and Google Kubernetes Engine
- Partner with product managers and designers to translate user needs into intuitive experiences
- Improve testing, monitoring, production reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Own complex problems from ambiguous requirements through production delivery
- Help define architecture, mentor engineers, and raise the technical bar across the team
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience building scalable fullstack applications in production
- Strong understanding of frontend, backend, APIs, distributed systems, and modern web architecture
- Experience owning software through implementation, production health, and ongoing improvement
- A track record of designing systems and influencing technical direction
- Clear written and verbal communication across distributed teams
- Sound engineering judgment when using AI-assisted development tools
Where you'll be
This permanent engineering role is based in London or Stockholm. Spotify supports flexible work, with some in-person meetings alongside the ability to work from home.
